History

As sales continued to grow and product lines continued to expand, another move was deemed necessary. In 2006, Advanced moved to 591 Gladwish Drive.

This move was an important step in the evolution of the company. The new showroom offered an ideal setting for displaying new and exciting architectural building products.

Today, our company continues to offer a wide variety of building materials. Vinyl fencing and decking, tin ceilings, architectural and structural columns, decorative concrete, custom fabricated vinyl railings, and decorative wrought iron fencing are among our most popular products. We also provide relevant and helpful services to our clients, including design consultation, project estimating, and product installations.

At Advanced, we are dedicated to making your home improvement experience a pleasant one. We pride ourselves on our comprehensive product knowledge, our friendly atmosphere, and providing customer service that is second to none. It is our goal to be the leader in new product innovations for your home.

Advanced Building Materials was originally opened in Sarnia in 1984 to serve the civil-construction contracting marketplace.

Dave and Olga Williams bought 50% of the business in 1988, and the remaining shares in 1991. The business continued to thrive and prosper by offering specialized construction products to the civil and mechanical trades in and around Sarnia.

In 1995, new partners were acquired, enabling Advanced to move to 770 Chester Street. This location provided a larger property from which to operate, allowing the company to offer even more building supplies to its growing customer base – one that had expanded to include the residential market.

Among the products added were vinyl fencing and decking, which remain two major commodities today.
